Health Insurance
Employees who elect health insurance have the benefit of choosing from 3 different plans administered through Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Iowa. The plan options include two traditional plans and a high deductible health plan that is paired with a health savings account.
Dental Insurance
Employees who elect dental insurance have the benefit of using Delta Dental of Iowa.
Wellness Program
KSC provides employees with the opportunity to improve their health and wellbeing by taking advantage of their Wellness Program. This includes options for employees to participate in educational activities, wellness challenges, annual wellness screenings, and a reimbursement program for gym memberships or apparel/equipment.
Vision Discount Card
Full-time and part-time employees of Kingland Systems are eligible to participate in this voluntary discount plan. Provided by Avesis, members receive discounted eye exams, lenses, frames, contact lenses, and laser vision corrections services when provided by an Avesis participating provider.
Short Term Disability
Our Short Term Disability benefit is effective after one day of absence for injury and after eight days of absence for illness. Our Short Term Disability benefit pays 60% of basic monthly salary up to $1,000 and may continue for up to 13 weeks.
Long Term Disability
The Long Term Disability benefit, offered to employees, has a 90-day waiting period and pays 60% of current compensation up to a maximum of $9,000 per month until the age of 65.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Employees may enroll in our flex spending benefit for either medical expenses and/or dependent care expenses. These accounts allow employees to pay predictable health and dependent day care expenses with dollars that they elect to set aside before taxes are deducted. Employees may voluntarily choose to contribute pre-tax dollars to their individual flexible spending accounts for medical and/or dependent care.
Employee Assistance Program
Kingland Systems' Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is managed by Lincoln Financial and is available for employees to utilize as needed. EAP provides free, short-term and confidential counseling for employees and immediate family members who are having personal concerns such as (but not limited to) family conflicts, stress, depression, or concerns regarding substance abuse.
AFLAC Coverage
KSC offers employees the option to take advantage of voluntary coverage through AFLAC. Three options are offered through AFLAC, including a Personal Accident Indemnity Plan, a Personal Cancer Indemnity Plan, and a Personal Sickness Indemnity Plan.
