David J. Kingland

Chairman of the Board, Chief
Executive Officer, and President

Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer, and President David J. Kingland founded Kingland Systems Corporation in 1992. Mr. Kingland created Kingland Systems when regional banks began to enter the retail brokerage business and required robust compliance and trading systems to support their geographically dispersed operations.

Prior to founding Kingland Systems Corporation, from 1985 to 1996, Mr. Kingland founded and was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Kingland Capital Corporation. Kingland Capital was an SEC and NASD registered Broker/Dealer that pioneered the bank-based full service retail brokerage business model.

Kingland Capital was one of the first firms in the United States to receive regulatory approval for providing brokerage investment advice and securities execution services in banks. As part of Kingland Capital’s offering to its bank customers it developed and provided extensive compliance, trading, commission processing, and management reporting systems. A number of Kingland Capitals’ customers expressed a need for robust technology solutions as they merged their broker/dealer operations into larger and larger banking organizations, so Mr. Kingland formed Kingland Systems to focus on the new technology needs of these large bank broker/dealer operations.

Prior to Kingland Capital Corporation, Mr. Kingland began his career in the brokerage business in 1981 opening the Mason City, Iowa office for Edward Jones and Company, a New York Stock Exchange member firm.

Mr. Kingland holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Administration from Iowa State University and numerous NYSE/NASD securities brokerage licenses.
