360 Data - Master Files

What is it?

Whether securities data, client and counterparty data, or hierarchy data, a 360 Data Master File provides large banking, financial markets, insurance, or other financial services firms with an outsourced option for highly accurate, timely, complete, and comprehensive reference data. A Master File solution is customizable by type of data, sources of data, countries, and client-specific business rules down to the attribute level. Kingland manages the integration, processing, and maintenance of the data, including matching and concordance to client-specific internal identifiers, cross referenced to our KINS^SM number system and other industry or third party identifiers.

Kingland's 360 Data database

Our database, which currently contains more than 900 million physical records, is the foundation of every 360 Data Master File solution. Our database uses more than 500 sources (global stock exchanges and depositories, commercial vendors, and a time-tested list of unique data research sources from more than 150 countries) validate and enhance a world of financial services data summarized as:

• 4 million global securities with 5.25 million unique identifiers

• 900 thousand legal/business entities

• 1.1 million unique corporate hierarchies and other business relationships

Our database also includes our unique KINS^SM numbering system- one of the industry's only international business entity identifiers that supports both unique entity and security identification and indexing.

MDM Software

Our 360 Data platform is a master data management (MDM) engine that is powered by IBM InfoSphere software and a suite of Kingland-developed tools. The platform is complete with ETL, matching, duplication identification, and an expansive series of quality scans and also contains a workflow component that supports complex, prioritized processing. Additionally, we provide many data research tools that have been optimized over many years to support our high accuracy rules and complex hierarchical data research.

Manual Validation

Using a series of proven processes and research optimized MDM software, our teams of data research analysts perform data enhancement, validation, and verification activities. Our research is global in nature supporting many languages and global market nuances.
