Vacation
Annually, on January 1st each year, vacation benefits are provided for full- and part-time employees on a pro-rated basis.
Employees with up to one year of service earn 13 days annually. Employees with one to five years of service earn 18 days annually. Employees with five to ten years of service earn 23 days annually. Employees with 10+ years of service earn 28 days annually. The maximum annual vacation allowance for all employees is 28 days.
Vacation days for part-time employees (those working 20-34 hours per week) will be half the full-time schedule, rounded to the nearest full day.
Sick Leave
Full-time employees are granted five sick days a year to use in the case of their own illness or injury, or that of a dependent, which forces them to be away from work. Sick pay can also be used for doctor and dental appointments. Sick pay is accumulative to a maximum of 90 days.
Holidays
Full-time employees are eligible for six paid holidays per year. These include:
- New Years Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas
Employees also have the right to take religious holidays without pay.
Bereavement Leave
In the unfortunate event of the death of a family member, a leave of absence of one to three days, with pay, will be granted.
