We at Kingland are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Statement explains how Kingland Systems LLC (“Kingland”) collects, uses and shares your information. This Privacy Statement applies to information we collect when you use our websites, or when you otherwise interact with us, including when you attend events hosted or sponsored by Kingland. This statement expressly does not govern data collected by us as a data processor under solutions provided to our clients (Data Controllers)Please click for information related to data collected under those services.

COLLECTION OF INFORMATION

Information You Provide to Us

We collect information you provide directly to us. For example, we collect information when you fill out a form, participate in a contest or promotion, register for an event, apply for a job, or otherwise communicate with us. The types of information we may collect include your name, email address, postal address, phone number, fax number, gender, information about your company and current position, employment history, payment information and any other information you choose to provide.

  • With vendors, consultants and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf;
  • In response to a request for information if we are required by, or believe disclosure is in accordance with, any applicable law, regulation or legal process;

DATA PRIVACY FRAMEWORK


EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF) and the UK Extension Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF)

Kingland complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF) and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Kingland has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (EU-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the processing of personal data received from the European Union and the United Kingdom in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF. Kingland has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the processing of personal data received from Switzerland in reliance on the Swiss-U.S. DPF. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the EU-U.S. DPF Principles and/or the Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles, the Principles shall govern. Kingland is responsible for the processing of personal data it receives, under each Data Privacy Framework, and subsequently transfers to a third party acting as an agent on its behalf. Kingland complies with the Data Privacy Framework Principles for all onward transfers of personal data from the EU, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, including the onward transfer liability provisions.

With respect to personal data received or transferred pursuant to the Data Privacy Frameworks, Kingland is subject to the regulatory enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. In certain situations, we may be required to disclose personal data in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

If you have an unresolved privacy or data use concern that we have not addressed satisfactorily, please utilize the TRUSTe Feedback and Resolution System, our U.S.-based third party dispute resolution provider (free of charge).

Under certain conditions, more fully described on the Data Privacy Framework website, you may be entitled to invoke binding arbitration when other dispute resolution procedures have been exhausted.

 

SOCIAL SHARING FEATURES

The website may offer social sharing features and other integrated tools (such as the Facebook “Like” button), which let you share actions you take on our website with other media and vice versa. The use of such features enables the sharing of information with your friends or the public, depending on the settings you establish with the entity that provides the social sharing feature.
